Rajsekara Murthy Foundation, is also the granddaughter of Shri M. Rajsekara Murthy, who was a senior politician in the Karnataka and central government. Pavithra Halkatti was delighted to announce the successful launch of her new line of clothing at Ave Designer Store in an all-star-studded event to support Women Weavers Community on June 9, 2023. 

This significant initiative was unveiled amidst stars and celebrities from Bangalore, including Former Minister Rani Satish, Radha Deshpande, Priyanka Upendra, Shilpa Ganesh, wife of Actor Ganesh, Sangeetha Gururaj, Suma Chidananda, Revathi Raju, SarojBagaria,
 Dr. Manjula Shivashankar, Beena Bandari, SudhaHeiremath, and Lalitha Kumaraswamy, among others, garnered tremendous enthusiasm and support from the guests. Pavithra herself looked magnificently stunning sporting a handwoven saree from the new collection made by the women weavers.

Speaking about the launch, Ms. Pavithra Halkatti said, as a tribute to the community of women weavers, a sizeable percentage of the sales proceeds will be dedicated towards the Helping Hand Program, which aims at providing support and empowerment for women weavers by selling clothing materials such as sarees, and merchandise of Handloom, Khadi, Organic, Silk and Cotton products produced by them. She highlighted that the foundation is dedicated to creating a more equitable society by empowering women weavers who are in need.
