“Sharanam” Yoga Drama on Buddha organised by Rakshak Foundation

New Delhi (India), June 24: “Sharanam”, First-of-its kind play ‘Gautam Buddha attaining Moksha staged by the Yoga-team, inmates of Presidency Correctional Home trained by Rakshak Foundation, ‘Sharanam ‘Directed , conceptualised by Shri Debashis Chakraborty, Superintendent , Presidency Correctional Home, Rakshak Foundation’ in association with the Rotary Club of Calcutta Millennium and Prabha Kalabhumi, is delighted to present ‘Sharanam’ Observing the World Yoga Day on 21/06/2023.

The ongoing Yoga project of Chaitali Das  in the Presidency Correctional Home  ‘Training to The Trainers’ since October 2021  where approximately 5000 inmates ( including present and the released inmates ) are benefitted from the Yoga lesson. The event is  graced by ADG & IG I.P.S. Sanjay Singh, as the Chief Guest, who shared his number of reformation  measures for the inmates,  Chinese Consul  General Zha Liyou appreciated  the positive measures Taken by the state Government for the welfare of inmates which is a welcome change and very humane. Rotary International President Rtn Shekhar Mehta, expressed his desire to extend Rotary support. Jaydip Das ,Philanthropist, Director Rakshak Group.

Guru Debjani Chatterjee, Natyashree, Ananda Basu from Rotary , Shekhar Bhuwania were present alongwithThe event is well attended by Diplomats , Dignitaries.
