The Tata Ultra Marathon 10K Promo Run saw an impressive turnout, with more than 500 experienced runners from across the city partaking.

Bengaluru (Karnataka) [India], September 29: Leading online grocery platform and TATA enterprise, bigbasket, showcased its commitment to promoting health and wellness by organizing the Tata Ultra Marathon 10K Promo Run in Bengaluru on September 24, 2023. The event saw an impressive turnout, with more than 500 experienced runners from across the city partaking.

The marathon, themed ‘Moving Towards Wellness’, was honoured by the presence of influential figures from both bigbasket and Tata Sons. Among the attendees were bigbasket’s Co-Founders, Mr. Vipul Parekh, Mr. VS Sudhakar, and Mr. VS Ramesh, as well as COO Mr. TK Balakumar. From Tata Sons, Mr. Virat Mehta, Mr. Mukund Moghe, and Mr. Saurabh Mitra graced the occasion.

The race began at 6 am from the South United Football Club Ground in Halasuru, taking runners through prominent areas like Cubbon Road, Cubbon Park, Vidhan Soudha Road, and MG Road.

In the face of modern urban lifestyles, which often lead to sedentary habits and consequent health challenges, bigbasket is championing the cause of wellness. This promotional run is the first in a series of such health-focused initiatives by the company.

For those looking forward to the main event, the TATA Ultra Marathon is scheduled for 25th February 2024 (Sunday). This challenging race, to be held in the picturesque setting of Lonavala, offers two distance categories: 50 km and 35 km, both open to men and women. Set against the beautiful backdrop of the Sahyadris, the race will test every runner’s endurance. To ensure participants have a smooth experience, arrangements such as refreshments, medical aid, ambulances, portable toilets, and more will be available throughout the route.
