September 16: On September 02′ 2022, Zest Partners hosted a webinar on “Attracting Top Talent and Leaders for Startups”. The webinar aimed to talk about how there has been tremendous growth in the Indian startup ecosystem in the last few years, creating an unanticipated demand for the right talent. The rising generation of employees and the employee-driven marketplace require the management to improve retention strategies proactively.

As young companies are just entering the market, startups typically have limited finances. Hiring someone who does not match a startup’s values, goals, and mission could hinder the future business of a startup. They face challenging competition, demanding industries, and a limited number of employees. When managed well, nurtured, and developed, startups can grow into large corporations or enterprises.

A lot of valuable points were discussed in the Webinar about what skills and attributes to look for when hiring leaders for startups and how technology plays a very important role in recruiting the right team and leader for an organization.

“Technology has played a vital role in disrupting recruitment and right now it’s not about just hiring anyone it’s about the quality of hires made” , says Anuj.

Rakesh also added “Companies should first start giving leaders and potential employees a reason about why they should work there”.
